#1 i know that after 8 psi the JRSC blower temps are high as shiit. My question is has anyone tried having the case and internals heat treated? Is this a viable project?
#2 Has anyone had their blower reworked by Endyn? I was interested(had money)in August, but after a few emails and one phone call from Larry, I never heard from him again. Tried email, but no answer.
Thanks guys,
Regg

I'm not sure that heat treating the internals would work, but I'm not sure what you mean.
Not me. But endyne has done some. Most of there stuff is prototype at this point.
To control some of this make sure you get the J&S. Most of your engine heat will be in 5th too, so becareful when you give it full boost.

I've had the Endyn mods done to my JRSC on a Civic "hybrid" engine. It was well worth the investment. I can give more specific info if desired.

I'm sure you've seen the info on theoldone.com, and I'llassume you know the approximate price, so I won't bother with that stuff. I guess the part that will explain the most is this... The Endyn modded JRSC runs 15psi boost on a d16z6 bottom end with very little internal upgrades. Stock block w/JE 9:1 CR .020" over with STOCK rods. Sure they're shot peened, but that's it. No block guard, etc. The head is a bone stock non-VTEC unit from a 97 civic dx. That's it. The current config. has been going strong since Jan. 1999. I've got all the typical electronics to keep it all in check...MSD, J&S, guages, etc. I don't have any track time (the wife doesn't dig it), so I can't give you any true 1/4 times except for what the G-tech says... Usually high 13's on street tires, with not much traction thru 1st. I just happen to have a set of drag radials on my car this week that I borrowed from a friend. I'll see If I can get some better times with them on and let you know. I also don't have any dyno #'s either. There is one place in at least a 100 mile radius from me, so it's near impossible to get over there while trying to keep my place of business open. I'll see what the
G-tech says. I hate to sound like I'm blowing sunshine up your skirts without more proof, but the damn thing knocked my socks of after I got it back! And I'd had the JR kit for about 2 years at the time (almost 3 now) and it is nothing like it was. Currently,I've got a Quaife on order, It ought to be here in a few days. I have a terrible traction problem...lack of it!
I hope this "testimonial" has helped.
Ijust realized how much I just rambled...sorry.

Hey Phil, Jacob here. I forgot to ask you if the car seemed to run any stronger with the D16Y8 head as compared to your 1.5L head(from your blown motor correct?).
I've also ridden in the car. It DEFINITELY had to make a difference. This car seriously feels about as fast as my friend's automatic 98 Z28 Camaro. I know "butt-dynos" aren't accurate, but it's very obviously from the first throttle punch that this lil' D series isn't running a dinky 6 psi
. Torque is very strong on the car.
What kinda times did you pull on Fri. night with the G Tech?

All else aside, then if you are running 15psi on your "slightly" modified motor we B18C's and B's for that matter should be able to run that with our bone stock engines and the electronics right? Just wondering where you are at? I know how it is to have to travel to find a dyno. There is one about 50miles away from me but it is a Corvette shop and they charge outrageous prices and don't really take to kindly to import racers
